It was an interesting behind the scene’s look at venture capitalists or VCs as we sometimes call them. Pitches are not one size fits all, so entrepreneurs have to know their audience and local etiquette. Yuna seems very smart and eager to learn more. Quite the go-getter. I’m sure, she’ll go far.
Shibata:
Yes, Una is quite a hard worker. Well, I heard a story from a business person who worked in Silicon Valley, the Japan’s annual venture capital investment is equivalent to just three days worth in Silicon Valley.
Jenny:
Whoa, three days equals one year.
Shibata:
Yes, the share scale and dynamism are surprising.

柴田:
ジェニー、今月のビジネスシーンについてどう思いますか？
ジェニー:
ベンチャー・キャピタリストやVCの裏側を垣間見ることができて、とても興味深かったです。ピッチは一様ではないので、起業家は聴衆や地域のエチケットを知らなければなりません。ユナはとても賢く、もっと学びたいと思っているようです。かなりのやり手です。彼女はきっと成功するでしょう。
柴田:
そうですね、ユナはかなりの努力家です。そういえば、シリコンバレーで働いていたビジネスパーソンから聞いた話ですが、日本のベンチャーキャピタルの年間投資額は、シリコンバレーのわずか3日分に相当するそうです。
ジェニー:
凄い、3日で1年分ですね。
柴田:
そう、そのシェア規模とダイナミズムには驚かされる。
