フィリピンの定番スイーツ 「ハロハロ(halo-halo)」
かき氷とパフェを組み合わせたようなフィリピンの国民的スイーツ、ハロハロ。 ハロハロという名前は「混ぜる」という意味のタガログ語 (フィリピンの公用語の1つ)に由来します。 南国特有のカラフルな色合いで、インパクトのある見た目です。 日本はもちろん、 フィリピンやシンガポール、 ハワイやアメリカの本土にもかき氷のようなスイーツがあります。(Halo-halo is the national sweet of the Philippines, a combination of shaved ice and parfait. The name “halo-halo” comes from the Tagalog word meaning “to mix” (one of the official languages of the Philippines).
The colorful shades characteristic of tropical countries give it a striking appearance. Shaved ice-like sweets can be found not only in Japan, but also in the Philippines, Singapore, Hawaii, and the U.S. mainland.)
