テルマはエミリーの言ったことを受け入れるキモチで、 I believe you. と言います。
believe 「言うことを信じる(=ウソじゃないと思う)」が基本の意味で、 I believe you. のように、「believe+人」 で、日本語の「うん、わかったよ」 に近い感覚で使えます。
