This month we’re practicing At Home English.
今月の仕上げとなる金曜日の対話カラオケで皆さんはシンガポールの電車に乗ってお出かけします。
(This month’s finale will be Friday’s Dialogue Karaoke where everyone will go out on a train in Singapore.)
So we have some good phrases for お出かけ.
For example, 上り電車、下り電車. Can you say that in English?
How about 混雑している時間帯?
Well, let’s practice going from Japanese
into English. Okay. Let’s begin with our first time trial.
I’ll say it in Japanese, you say it in English within the timelimit.
Here is the first one.
1. 急がないと。Say it in English. Go ahead.
2. 次の電車に乗らないといけません。
Now let’s try to say 急かす. How do you say 急かす in English? Go ahead.
The answer is rush. For example, 相手を急かす , rush you.
私を急かさないで。 Don’t rush me. (Do) you understand? Now let’s try to say this sentence.
