柴田:
Jenny, what impression did you get from the opening sentence?
Jenny:
The line, “Hi, Chinatsu! Was nice to have a chat with you last week.” seems like a direct address to Chinatsu.
柴田:
Exactly. It’s an opening that gives a personal touch, isn’t it?

柴田:
In the last sentence the word, awesome is used. What do you think, Jenny?
Jenny:
The use of colloquial words like awesome gives a chat specific feel.
柴田:
Indeed. You don’t see the word, awesome much in an email exchanges particularly with clients.

柴田:
この他にどうんな表現があるでしょうか?
What other expressions can you think of?
Jenny:
You could also use optimistic to say I’m optimistic that working together, we can achieve significant advancements.
(力を合わせれば大きな前進を成し遂げられると楽観している、と言うこともできる。)
柴田:
Hmm, it also sounds very positive.

柴田:
Jenny, what impression do you get from the opening line, “Great news! Thursday 18 works for us.”
Jenny:
I feel a sense of enthusiasm for problem solving.
柴田:
Indeed. The use fo the short phrase, “Great news!”is very effective, isn’t it?

See you next time.
Bye.
