思い出を語り合おう
今年度最後に訪れるのはフィリピン。僕はマニラで英会話レッスンの指導者研修に携わった機会が何回かあって、人間関係やきずなを重視するフィリピンの方々の様子はとても思い出深いです。オンライン英会話の講師にはフィリピン出身の方が多いので、明るく、温かく、ユーモアのある彼らの指導はきっと皆さんの助けになると思います。
(The last place I will visit this year is the Philippines. I have had the opportunity to participate in English conversation instructor training several times in Manila, and I have very fond memories of seeing the Filipino people’s emphasis on interpersonal relationships and bonds. Many of our online English conversation instructors are from the Philippines, so I’m sure their bright, warm, and humorous guidance will be of help to you.)
下の写真はマニラで撮ったもの。「ジープニー」という乗合タクシーが写っているのが分かりますか? 古いバスやトラックを改造して派手に塗装しているのが特徴で、開いた車の後部から乗り降りします。

フィリピンでは古い車や時計などを修理しながら大事に長く使う傾向があって、そういった昔の物を目にすると懐かしい気持ちになりますね。(In the Philippines, there is a tendency to repair old cars and watches and take good care of them for a long time, and seeing such old things makes me feel nostalgic.)

They might bring back memories. ということで、フィリピンで「思い出」をテーマに英語で語り合いましょう!

そして1年間、学習者の皆さんに支えられながら講座を続けることができてとてもうれしく思います。この講座はあくまで英語を話す機会を提供してきただけで、英会話の上達は皆さんの努力があってこそ。実践を増やす発信型の英語学習に参加してくださった皆さんに、心から感謝します。最後に、ジェニーさんをはじめ、ナビゲーターを務めてくれたスウェーデン出身のヤンニさん、インド出身のニリナさん、ありがとうございました。今シーズンを有終の美で締めくくりましょう!
(And I am very happy to have been able to continue the course for a year with the support of all the learners. This course has only provided you with opportunities to speak English, and it is your efforts that have helped us to improve our English conversation. I would like to thank all of you for your participation in this outgoing English learning experience that increases practice.
