Let’s say you wanna boil a frog　カエルを沸騰させたいと仮定しよう
We’ll use a fake one for now　にせものを使います
You boil the water and place a frog inside of it　水を沸騰させて、その中にカエルをおきます
but the frog will immediately jump out　が、カエルはすぐに飛び出します
because the water is too hot　熱いから
this is a fact　　これは事実

But there is a different way to boil it　沸騰させる別の方法がある
You put the frog in warm water　温かい水にカエルをおいて
It will stay there because it’s warm　温かいので、そこにいます
Then you slowly but surely increase the temperature of the water　それからゆっくりと水温を上げます
The frog will not notice the small change in temperature　カエルは温度の変化に気づきません
and before it knows it!　気づく前に
the water is boiling and the frog…　水は沸騰して
is dead.　カエルは死んでしまう

Frogs and humans notice the big things.　カエルも人間も大きな事には気が付きます
Frogs notice boiling water and stay away from it.　気づくとそこから飛び出します

and stay away from them　そこから離れることが出来ます
but we fail to notice the small things 小さな事は見逃してしまう

You can see this all around us, like rent　身の回りの賃貸料など
