I’m a man.
I’m a woman.
and after traveling to 60 countries around the world　世界中６０カ国旅行した後

For men like me we can wear whatever we want　男は、好きなものが着れる
We can go wherever we want　好きな所に行ける
Whenever we want　いつでも、夜でも昼でも
day or night
No problem　問題はありません
For a woman like me we can’t wear whatever 女性は好きなものが着れない
She looks like a prostitute.　娼婦のようだ
We can’t walk wherever　どこでも自由に歩くことが出来ない
You might get raped　レイ＊されるかも
or whenever　
It’s too dangerous at night for women　夜歩くことは危険だ
This is not just us
this is the life of billions of women around the world　これが世界中の百万人もの女性の生活です
in rich countries
and poor ones who are still treated differently
in the eyes of society　世間の目
at workplace　職場で
and even in the eyes of their parents　両親の目においても
In many countries parents
are much stricter on their daughters
than they are on their sons　息子より娘のほうが厳しい
Travel has taught us that gender inequality is a global problem　旅が男女間の不平等が地球規模の問題だと教えてくれる
And you don’t need 60 countries to know this　これを理解するために６０カ国必要ない
Just look outside your window　窓から外を見るだけで
and see how much work we have left to do　まだまだ解決しなければならない仕事があることが分かります
